  • 6th Annual Cruise to Run Road Race

Over a hundred cruise ship runners will take part in the annual 5K road race. The cruise runners will be joined by another hundred local runners. The race starts and ends at Weiser's on the Spring Garden Highway. The event is promoted by The Barbados Tourism Authority.

  • Cricket: Third National Trial Match for Regional 4-Day Tournament

The 2012 Regional 4-Day Cricket Tournament begins in early February.
This is the third Trial Match from which players may be selected to participate for Barbados in the tournament.

  • Masala with Philip 7 live at McBrides

Masala with Philip 7 performs live at McBrides Pub and Cookhouse every Friday night. The 5 members of the band are Phillip Scantlebury (Lead Vocalist), Nicholas Lewis (Solo Guitarist), Ryan Holder (Drummer), Dexter Snagg (Keyboards) and Justin Worrell (Bass Guitar).
The band plays everything from hip-hop to R&B and Soca to Rock including Reggae, Calypso, and R&B.
Friday is ladies night. Ladies gain free entry before 11:00 pm.

  • Oistins Fish Fry

Oistins is an active fishing town on the south coast and is a hub of activity on weekend nights. Seating is plentiful, if rustic, and in amongst the diners, the old-timers are playing dominoes. There are also art and craft items on sale, including jewellery, pottery, ceramics, leather craft, wood carvings, straw craft, clothing and accessories, and original paintings and prints.Frequented by visitors and locals alike, it's a great place to spend an informal evening. Lots of parents bring their children. Dress down!

  • Queen's College Play: The Stand

Written and produced by Nancii Yearwood and directed by Barbadian International actor/director Alison Sealy-Smith, QC's school play The Stand is about five young friends  who "defy their traditions of their community and spark a series of events that changes them and their community forever".

Rhapsody is a five man band with guitar, keyboard, drums and vocals.
